“…there’s hardly time to catch your breath in between bouts of uncontrollable laughter…these guys are unbelievable musicians too. Sometimes five stars just aren’t enough”
The Scotsman, Edinburgh
Since their earliest shows Tripod have made a consistent habit of juggling comedy, music and narrative in endless exhilarating combinations, consistently evading neat definitions whilst always striving to stay worthy of their fans’ time.
Tripod were recently commissioned for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, an all-original symphonic love letter to gaming entitled This Gaming Life (in collaboration with BAFTA winning games composer Austin Wintory), which opened at Hamer Hall to rave reviews.
The second half of 2015 saw Tripod continue their relationship with Wintory. Along with Wintory’s score, Tripod’s 6 murder ballads for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate picked up multiple Original Soundtrack of the Year awards.
Round Midnight are a local Melbourne outfit, comprising of saxophonist Jeff Karutz, pianist Rob Ware and double bassist Greg Smith.
Opening night is free to delegates to attend (register through Guidebook).BACK TO NEWS
