ATOM and ACMI are please to announce this new panel: Indigenous Community Media from the Bush to the City

The panel will present a broad overview of Indigenous media and filmmaking at the present moment – from the bush to the city – as well as some historical perspective on how it has developed. The panel will showcase the training and employment opportunities the industry has provided to many screen practitioners, such as Warwick Thornton, Curtis Taylor and Rachel Perkins. It will discuss the important role that community media plays in communicating and preserving culture. There will be time for audience questions and general discussion.
