YMF Session Announcement: Writing for Comedy with Benjamin Law and Peter Ivan

ATOM and ACMI are proud to announce the following panel for the Youth Media Festival program:

Writing for Comedy: In Conversation with Benjamin Law and Peter Ivan

This session looks at comedy writing in feature film and television in 2016, with cutting-edge comedy screenwriters Benjamin Law and Peter Ivan. Benjamin Law is best known for writing The Family Law from his book which screened on SBS this year to great acclaim. Peter Ivan is best known for writing Oddball (2015, directed by Stuart McDonald, pictured), the family comedy that took $10 million at the Australian box office starring Shane Jacobson. The session will be moderated by Mark Poole, former Head of the Australian Writers Guild in Victoria.
