Speaker Announcement: David S. Vadiveloo

David Vadiveloo is a multi-award-winning Australian filmmaker, human-rights lawyer and educationalist. In 2005, he was awarded the Australian Human Rights Commission Award for Individual Community Achievement for his work with Indigenous youth. He was also highly commended for the Human Rights Medal (Australia), recognising lifelong commitment and achievements in human rights. In 2009, his social justice films were nominated for Australian Film Institute (AFI) Awards in both the drama and documentary categories.

Many teachers will know David from his landmark ABC series Us Mob, which pioneered multi-ending Indigenous children’s interactive web and film production.
